Even if a 1lb chocolate cake was pure fat, wouldn’t it make sense that only 1lb would go to our fat stores?

But if you were to eat that piece of chocolatey goodness, you would swear up and down that it put more than just the 1lb on our waistline. But that would impossible, would it not?

When it comes to straight calorie depletion and fat stores, here is a simple mantra for you:

Calories in DOES NOT EQUAL calories out

Time to remove the mystery on the real weight gain that happens when we eat off the dessert menu.

Check, 1..2.. Is this thing on?

The real effect that such sweetened goodness has on our body involves much more than just the calories taken in, but also the reaction that is sparked through the body when the cake is absorbed by the system.

Once we understand what is happening we can take steps to control the weight gain and minimize damage to our waistline (and hopefully get an inch or two closer to those skinny jeans that have been in the closet for way too long now).

I think in this case, the problem begins with the mentality of someone eating ONE POUND OF CAKE!!!!! I think the last thing this “person” is thinking about is how many lunges are going to be needed a the next workout to reverse the damage done by this glutony!!! I would imagine that watching 4-5 hours of Paradise Hotel (my favorite), is first and foremost on this wonderfully productive citizens mind! (Boy I am harsh!)
